| Horst Krippner
Horst Krippner was born in the small Bavarian farming
village of Seussen. His father worked at the Shumann
fine porcelain factory nearby. Watching the village
blacksmith pour and forge metal created in Horst the
desire to became a tool & die maker. In 1955, he
obtained the coveted Industriemeisterbrief in recognition
of his completed apprenticeship in Nurnberg. He then
moved to Toronto, Canada and worked at Husky, Inc. as
the company's first injection mold maker. In 1958, Horst
moved to Los Angeles, California and worked to become
the Manufacturing Vice-President at Setco, Inc. When
Setco sold to the McCormick company in 1974, Horst took
the opportunity to start his own injection mold making
business - HK Plastics Engineering, Inc.
Peter Krippner
Horst’s oldest son Peter had begun to work at
the company in 1985 while he was attending college.
Peter spent most of his time managing accounting tasks
at HK. He began to use computer spreadsheets and computer
based accounting applications to handle the company's
finances. After graduating from Southern California
College with a degree in International Missions, he
decided to work full-time for the company. He now serves
as the company's CFO and lives near Spokane Washington
with his wife Gisele and son Timothy.
Gerry Krippner
Horst’s middle son, earned a Mechanical Engineering
degree from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and later an MBA degree from Cal State San Marcos. His career began as an engineering apprentice with Hunter Industries. After college, he worked with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture)
as a management consultant in their manufacturing
systems practice. Most of his time with Andersen was with the
Boeing company in Seattle,Washington and Oak Ridge,
Tennessee. In 1990, Gerry began work at HK and now serves
as the President and CEO. Gerry lives near Vista, California
with his wife Renee and three sons, Evan, Andrew, and
Ryan.
Ron Krippner
Horst’s youngest. In 1990 graduated from Arizona
State University with a degree in Marketing and decided
to start his career with HK Plastics Engineering, Inc.
He has played many roles at HK over the years holding
positions as molding shop foreman, ISO coordinator,
and now director of sales as well as Marketing Vice-President.
Ron lives in Oceanside, California with his wife Kristine
and three daughters, Sarah, Lauren, and Kate.
Brian Bentley
Horst's son-in-law. Brian holds a degree in Economics form Arizona State University . He is the Director of Business Development for HK, looking after sales, marketing and business growth opportunities for both divisions. Brian is a veteran of 20-plus years in sales, sales management and marketing in the telcom network equipment industry. Brian and his wife Janet (Krippner) Bentley are parents to three children, Christa, Garrett and Hunter.
